When Do You Need a DIN?
- Being appointed as a new director in any company

FAQ
Can one person hold two DINs? No. Each individual can hold only one DIN. Holding multiple DINs is an offence punishable under the Companies Act 2013.
What is the validity of a DIN? A DIN is valid for a lifetime but must be kept active via annual DIN KYC (DIR-3 KYC) filing every year.
